CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS - HERE’S YOUR OPPORTUNITY!
We have a very exciting list of fundraising events on tap for this year. Check out the events and dates below and if any of these events catch your eye and you’d like to help with them give us a call. We will need event staff, kitchen help for some events, clean-up staff, donated items for prizes and goodie bags or event t-shirts. If you or any area companies would be interested in event sponsorships we would love to talk to you about that as well. Call us at the shelter, 1-419-562-9149, and we’ll set up a time to discuss these volunteer options with you.
APRIL
We are having a booth at the TF Community Garage Sale. If you have good, clean, re-sale items you would like to donate we will be glad to take them the week of April 20th 2009 or just deliver it to the fairgrounds on April 24, 2009 from 1pm to 5pm.
April 24, 2009 Set up our booth for the TF Community Garage Sale 1pm to 5 pm
April 25, 2009 TF Community Garage Sale 7am to 3 pm
MAY
May 1, 2009 Adopt-a-thon at First American Loans 9am to 1 pm
May 1, 2009 “Puttin on the Dog” Hot Dog and Ice Cream Sundae Dinner, Celebrity Item Auction 6 pm
Kitchen Set-Up 3pm Hall Set-Up 3pm
May 2 and 3, 2009 Adopt-a-thon 10 am to 4 pm
JUNE
June 13, 2009 Parking Lot across from Speedway for the Cruise In (Will not know for sure until 6/1/09)
Sweep and Clean up 8am Parking shifts 10 to 12 - 12 to 2 - 2 to 4 - 4 to 7
June 27, 2009 Paws Walk and Pet Festival
Set-up 8am Work Booths 10 am to 3 pm Clean-up 3pm to 5pm
JULY
Crawford County Fair July 12th to the 18th
Will possibly have a booth and need to man it during evening hours
AUGUST
August 20, 21, 22 Bratwurst Festival Parking Lot - Time TBA by 8/1/09
SEPTEMBER
September 19, 2009 Pancake Breakfast 8am to 1 pm - Times TBA by 9/1/09
OCTOBER
October 17, 2009 “Hog for Dogs” Charity Ride - Times TBA by 10/1/09
We will also be holding smaller events during the summer for kids and families. When we schedule these events we will call to see if members and volunteers might like to help us with them as well.
